MDI Day for a Cause Results
This was such a blessing to be a part of. Our team here at Thomas C Volck, D.D.S. had the opportunity to be a part of a movement. Thanks to our Sponsors, Patients, & local community, our recent #MDIdayforacause event was a huge success. The event helped raise almost $5,000 for LIving Word Church's "Gem City Initiative". So, what does that mean? For those of you that do not already know, Living Word Church has recently launched their Dream Center Food Truck- a mobile food truck that transports meals to inner city Dayton and shines like a beacon of #hope to Dayton children and Families. We are so honored to be a part of such a powerful movement.
Living Word is making leaps & bounds in our community- in every way-and stands as a true beacon of hope in these trying and hopeless times. They truly demonstrate what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ- to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. Their ministry is one we are proud to have been even a small part of and we encourage our patients, family, friends, and community to jump on board.
LWC also recently gained approval for the Dayton Dream Center (DDC)- an amazing and life changing facility that will open on the East side in downtown Dayton. The #DDC will offer a wide variety of services, from resident drug rehabilitation, job training, after-school and feeding programs, to crisis pregnancy housing, adopt-a-block community clean-up, health & fitness and shelter for battered women. The long-term vision includes eventually adding free health & dental clinics for community residents and so much more.
